Thanks! Yeah, well, let me qualify that statement. MOSTLY day-for-night. And maybe more accurate would be 'Day-for-twilight'. The movie takes place in a land that is shrouded in an ethereal-looking darkness, so it's not that we're not trying to fool anyone into thinking it's actually night, but I think you will be impressed with the quality of the effect all the same. I hope so, anyway!

I am also shooting a feature this summer on the T2i. Exciting! I think it's a great camera, and you're right about how great the price is. Also, the feature will be shot solely on the T2i- no other cameras. The movie will be shot mostly Day-for-Night, so I'll be excited to share the footage.

Luke, we are really loving the footage we're getting right now with the Canon T2i. Some weirdness with sharp camera movements (rolling shutter) and seeing rolling banding with lights that cycle funny - a neon light and a couple florescent lights with likely bad ballasts, but the low-light is incredible and those lenses are amazing. The footage is just so damned pretty!

Good thinking not waiting on the scarlet. Production technology wont tell your story to the audience no need to wait. You could shoot this on miniDV and if its good people will watch it. Besides I will be trying to buy us a scarlet for work in 2012 assuming there are 100 other bad ass cameras by then that will get us metadata

Hi there, my name is Jason and I start shooting my indy horror film The Cthulhu Key: Legacy (www.thecthulhukey.com/blog) the first week in June.
