Costume Design

So, part of the challenge of putting a science fiction movie together on a micro budget is having stuff not look crappy, and doing it cheaply. Audiences today have high standards when it comes to FX, both practical and CG. Props and costumes are no less important, and I knew that if I was going to pull this thing off I needed some believable space suits.

The helmets were a problem in particular. Costume shops I found online had some really fake looking stuff, and I didn't/don't have enough to pay someone to custom fabricate them, so I had resigned myself to buying motorcycle helmets and using those...Until I found this little gem, and the kid is pretty cute too!

  2. I don't think someone rtfa. Luke, if you are going to stuff a kid in a motorcycle helmet, at least give the kid a goatee. What kind of production route is this taking, is all the art taken care of? I think you know what i'm driving at here.
